Dr. Day Kenny received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
Throughout her veterinary education Dr. Day Kenny has worked in many different fields from small to exotic animals. She has worked with a wildlife rehabilitation organization, performed education programs with raptors (birds of prey), completed an externship at the San Antonio Zoo, and researched biodiversity in the Amazon Jungle.
After she graduated from Washington State University she completed one year of an Avian Medicine Residency with the University of California Davis and California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory to learn more about avian infectious diseases and poultry medicine. Though she loves chickens, turkeys, and waterfowl she missed working with cats, dogs, and their human families and wanted to have a career in companion-exotic animal medicine. When Dr. Day Kenny is not at the clinic she loves to enjoy the great outdoors, art, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs, and cat.
